Most CD pages have audio samples, so you can check out the album.  The audio clips are converted to high quality MP3 format at 128kb/sec, using the first 2 minutes of tracks chosen by the artist.  That translates to a file size of around 2 megabytes, so the download time will depend on the speed of your internet connection.  (Uh oh. Techno Geek alert!)  Keeping it simple - expect a 15-60 second wait after you hit the button.  Sorry, but that's life on the internet folks!

Just in case you don't already know, you need to have MP3 player software installed on your computer to listen to MP3 audio files.  It's very common software.  Most likely your computer came with one already installed.  If not, there's plenty available online - some expensive, some cheap, some free.  They all play MP3s nicely.  One good one - "WINAMP" - you can download for free.  It doesn't get any better than that!  Click on one of these links.

Please remember that all our MP3 audio files are copyrighted works.  They belong to the CD owners and artists that submitted them to us.  We have specific permission to use the sampled excerpts here on the Woodstock CD site, but copying the files for any other use without permission is a clear and direct violation of U.S. copyright statutes.  Please don't do that.  Break some other law.  We won't tell.
